About the Event

Workshop 2.0, CGI, Problem Solving, Problem Based Tasks - all of these terms (and more) circle around a central and more effective way of teaching mathematics than direct instruction. But what is it? How can you practice it authentically, effectivley, and realistically in your classroom?

This session will cover what EduQuate defines as Problem Solving which is both similar to and different from the terms listed above. You will learn about problem types, planning thorugh the use of an anticipatory framework, specific breakdows for grade band (PreK-3, 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12) around effectivness, and learn the importance of understanding the mathematics and mathematics modelling.
