From Abacus to Algebra: Growing Young Mathematicians

Back in fall 2016 I wrote about the transformation that took place at Polaris Charter Academy in Chicago. Read more here. So excited to launch a new phase with my obsession with the Polaris crew. Polaris is now a lab school for mathematics instruction! They have hosted folks from all over the country to show off their amazing math practices and will continue to do so - post to quarantine life we are all engrossed in. Can't wait to open doors back up and share more math-love. Until then - we'll be sharing more on this blog of what I - and the Polaris crew - are up to in trying to spread connection purposeful with math learning.
